I love this dog's look, the way she stares out of the frame at the viewer! She reminds me of Blue, that rambunctious dog from the ranch. Was Blue your inspiration? Who is Diamond Lil? Is she still with us?
ReplyDeleteAgain, thanks for your enthusiasm on capturing the intense attention in her eyes! Yes, she reminds me a bit of Blue. Blue was an Australian Sheep Dog; Lil is a Border Collie. Diamond Lil is about 6 - 8 years old, lives in Denver, Colorado with her doting owners, Lance and Nancy! This photo is Lance's cell phone picture. I saw it, loved it, requested to paint it, et voila! They have not seen it, nor do they know that I have actually done it!
